The Old Post Office is a self catering cottage near the Kyle of Lochalsh on the edge of Loch Hourn in the small friendly village of Corran, Arnisdale. The cottage has been rebuilt from the ground up and completed in August 2006. It is decorated and furnished to a high standard and has a wonderful warm homely feel. Sleeping up to 4 people this cosy cottage offers an idyllic holiday for all the family including your well-behaved house-trained pets which we are very happy to accommodate. The environment provides peace and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it also boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland with views across the loch to the Isle of Skye and beyond.
For the energetic there are brilliant costal and hill walks, giving you the opportunity to view the abundance of wildlife, with a “Munro” directly behind the village. Hill loch fishing may also be available by arrangement with the estate. Locally there is an old-fashioned shop, which stocks nearly everything, also a Pub / Inn at Glenelg 10 miles away. There is also a fruit and vegetable van visiting the village weekly and a ferry to Skye which runs from Kylerea near Glenelg during the summer months. The rates are inclusive of all heating, and linen. Enquire about special rates for multiple weeks for both cottages during the winter months. It is the ideal place for writing, painting, walking, photography or simply relaxing.
